Information on Bursaries & Scholarships for September 2013

Bilton Grange has a long history of providing bursaries to families whose children would otherwise not be able to attend the school and benefit from all the opportunities a Bilton Grange education offers.  The bursaries can be worth up to 100% of the value of school fees, and the level of award is determined according to family financial circumstances.

Accordingly, we will shortly be considering applications for bursaries, and families with children born between 1st September 2001 and 31st August 2009 are invited to apply, for entry to Bilton Grange in September 2013. Families who have already expressed an interest in the application process will be sent information in early January

Academic Scholarships
In addition, the process for applying for an Academic Scholarship will also commence in January, and families with children born between 1st September 2001 and 31st August 2005 are invited to apply, for entry to Bilton Grange in September 2013.  Children with academic potential are particularly encouraged to apply.

The scholarships give a reduction of one tenth of the fees, although this can be supplemented by bursary funds, dependent on family income.  The closing date for submission of the application forms to Bilton Grange is 5pm on Wednesday 30th January 2013 – applications after this time will not be considered.  Submissions should be sent by post or delivered by hand to the school, and families are advised to ring the Registrar to confirm receipt of the application.

The tests and interviews will take place at Bilton Grange on Saturday 2nd February 2013.  The day begins at 9.30am, and the children will undertake test papers in Maths, English and a verbal reasoning paper.  Children will be given lunch, and then will be available to be picked up at approximately 1.30pm.  The Headmaster might ask for a report from the child’s present school.

Bilton Grange has a long history of academic attainment.  Last year, a significant number of our Year 8 leavers won scholarships or awards to some of the UK’s leading senior schools.

If you would like to receive an application form for either a bursary or a scholarship please email, Mrs Rebecca Bantoft, Registrar on rlb@biltongrange.co.uk
