Trent visit the Prep Library

In preparation for next year, Year 3 have begun a series of visits to the Prep School Library.

First to visit were Trent who were shown around by Mrs Morris, the librarian.

Mrs Morris explained about reference books, magazines and fiction and non-fiction texts. She showed the children where the Junior Fiction was kept and helped them to find specific non-fiction books. The children learned that they could use ‘Alice Inquiry’ on the computer to search for a book they would like to read.Trent spent some time browsing before finally selecting a book.

They were all registered as library users and were able to borrow one book for the next few weeks. Trent are very much looking forward to their return visit!
