Your Legacy: A Secure Future
“Leaving a Legacy to Bilton Grange will make a real difference...” – Peter Kirk, Headmaster
Investing in the Future: Letter
from the Headmaster
When Bilton Grange was established in 1873, its founder, The Rev’d Walter Earle, could not have imagined how the education of young children would develop, nor have any idea of the resources necessary to provide them with a boarding education of the highest quality.
Impressive standards have been achieved at Bilton Grange in recent years, not by merely keeping up with change or reacting to circumstances, but rather through forethought and effective development planning.
The school now has a single fund, the Bilton Grange Foundation, into which all future donations will be placed to support the development of the school. The principal objective of the fund will be to support those development projects which cannot be financed from fee income alone; individual donations can be set-aside for specific purposes such as the provision of Bursaries, an important part of the School’s Development Plans.
A legacy gifts is always about the future. They are given by people of foresight to help achieve something they believe in. I would like to ask you to consider a Legacy that will help benefit future generations at Bilton Grange.
Thank you so much for considering us.
Peter Kirk

Your Legacy

Deciding what will happen to your estate after your death is a deeply personal matter. Naturally, bequests to family and friends will be the foremost consideration but is then straightforward to include a gift to Bilton Grange Preparatory School, either in the text of your will or as a simple codicil.
A number of Old Biltonians and Old Homefieldians are finding that supporting the School’s continuing success by means of a legacy has both tax and financial advantages. A gift to a charitable institution reduces the overall tax liability of an estate and it is frequently the case that a legacy of greater value can be arranged than circumstances might otherwise allow.
If you wish to include a legacy to Bilton Grange, your solicitors will be able to provide all the professional advice to ensure that your wishes are carried out. They will also be able to advise on matters such as tax and inheritance law as well as give advice on the action you should take if your circumstances change.
To discuss your next course of action or seek further information, please contact the Development Officer, Gayle Russell on 01788 818246.
