Rain, sun, mud and lots of fun.

48 children from the 3rd form to the 6th form travelled up to the west coast of Scotland to experience life on Ru’a Fiola. It was an action packed week with the traditional activities including rock climbing, abseiling, canoeing and fishing. Also included was an expedition during which they were prepared for the night (or nights) of survival at the end of the week – which this time they were escorted to their sites by Mr Kirk, who had flown up to see what everyone was getting up to. Aside from these more traditional activities, the children were also able to experience many others including going head under in a mud pit, jumping off rocks into the sea, regular swims in the cold water at various times of the day, the mysterious ‘Thing’ and ‘It’, the infamous ‘Eagle Swoop’, the canoe slide, getting to know various marine life (which includes wearing them, eating them as well as other things) and finally feeding the seagulls after every meal. It is impossible to tell all the tales of what the children did – you will just have to listen to their stories or experience the adventure for yourself in the future. I am sure a few of the photos will whet your appetite of what they have been doing! Just visit the gallery on the prep page of the website to see them. CJH
