The Lions roar!

On 23rd May, the BG Lions entertained Bloxham for their third match of the season. It was agreed that we would score 2 runs for a wide, 2 for a no bowl and -5 but not out.

Bloxham won the toss and put us in to bat. Initially, we played some good defensive strokes and then gradually opened up to produce a total of 205 for our 20 overs. We had just 15 runs deducted for two catches and one bowled leaving a total of 190.

Bloxham faced some consistent bowling from our boys and in the end produced 204 runs. However, their batting and decision making created more opportunities for catches and run outs and this together with some straight bowling led to Bloxham having 45 runs deducted from their total. BG won by virtue of making less errors than the opposition.

In the end, the score was BG Lions (1)90 ~ (1)59 Bloxham.

The boys were fine hosts and are now looking forward to their final match against Abberley Hall.
