Book Week

“Da car is moving!” 3rd Form enjoy Eddie.
It is book week and there is so much lined up that the covers are bursting open!
On Monday, things kick off at reading time with members of staff sharing some of the best bits from their favourite fiction with pupils. Third form, be warned: you are about to meet the legend that is Eddie.
On Tuesday, to counter the cool weather, things heat up even more. Writer Linda Newbery is coming in to talk to pupils and sign copies of her books, and later on pupils will be listening to stories in unexplored, atmospheric parts of the building.
On Thursday the pupils will be given a taste of Dahl and learn about this long-time favourite author of kids young and old.
Then there is the competition: to design a book cover and write the blurb for one of the crazy titles dreamed up by our own Ms Mehlia.
Check in all week for photo updates of what is going on.
It is all so busy you have to wonder when they will get time to read themselves!
