Colts A come up short
Great Houghton took advantage of their tall locks to dominate the Colts at the set piece on Wednesday. With little possession, the Colts were feeding off scraps throughout, and only managed another end-to-end score by Charlie Bastable. Great Houghton showed organized running and passing, clearing the ball before contact and taking it wide.
For a second match, the defensive patterns that the squad practised did not appear on the pitch and this left holes for Houghton to run through. The biggest issue, however, was the dominant Houghton forwards, who took almost all the line-out ball and most of the scrums.
Great Houghton ran in two tries in each half.
