Another resounding win at Bablake!
The girls had their toughest challenge yet on Wednesday afternoon when they faced Bablake school. It was the under 10’s first game out and what a start to the season! A goal was scored in the first 30 seconds and there was nothing to stop them from then on. The defenders made some excellent interceptions preventing Bablake from scoring resulting in a resounding win.
The older girls had some tougher matches as we knew they would. Bablake have a fantastic reputation as being “The school” to beat in the West Midlands. Our girls showed tenacity and determination and managed a near white wash of victories. The under 13”b”s had a blow in the first quarter when our goal keeper was injured and had to come off. This had a instant impact on the moral of the rest of the team and heads went down. In the final quarter the girls managed to fight back but unfortunately it was too late and the gap was too big. Never mind girls, six out of seven is a brilliant result!
