Girls 1st XI finish of 1st half of term in style

After all the fun, enjoyment and lots of pink which made up the Valentines tournament on Saturday, the girls 1st XI travelled to Kenilworth to play their Under 14A team. After supporting the 2nd XI, the girls ensured that they were fired up and ready to put in a strong performance. The girls started well and looked to attack from the first whistle. Constance Krarup looked dangerous on the right wing regularly taking on the opposition with great success. This provided a regular supply of crosses and it was not long before Hannah Hawkesley received the ball at the top of the ‘D’ and calmly flicked the ball low into the bottom corner. The girls continued to attack with Ellie Lewis full of running alongside Hannah and Hannah Brindley was proving to be a dangerous outlet on the left side of midfield as she looked to run at the opposition defence. The defence held firm throughout the match and looked assured and composed to repel any attack that came their way with Brooke Millhouse having a relatively quiet game, although not in the vocal sense, in goal.

The one goal proved to be sufficient as the girls were grateful of being rested later on in the match.

The girls will face Winchester House straight after half term although there are a few key areas that need to be addressed before then. The Tudor Hall match has been re-arranged for Saturday 15th March.

Well played and have a restful half term.
