Girls 2nd XI fail to learn from previous match

The girls 2nd XI played Winchester House after enthusiastically supporting the girls 1st XI. However, they got off to a slow start and made the same mistake as they did against Kenilworth before half term and conceded two early goals to put themselves on the back foot.

It was pleasing to see that they then rallied to produce an excellent performance and although they could not get the goals which their efforts deserved, they were able to dominate for long periods of the second half.

Genevieve Hirst read the game well at sweeper with Frankie Potter defensively strong at centre back. Poppy Hudson, Annabelle Phillips and Polly Holmes provided the main attacking options for the team ably supported by the reliable Jess Mason.

The final score was 2-0 to Winchester House but the girls deserve credit for their improvement throughout the game and their commitment.

Well done!
