Reception’s Diwali Day

Reception has been learning about the Hindu festival of light called Diwali, which is all about the Indian prince and princess called Rama and Sita. 

 

We listened to some Indian music and then we played some instruments.  After that we dressed up in some special clothes and learned a special dance.

 

Then we found out about Indian food.  We made different flavoured naan breads and tasted them to see which we liked the best.

 

Finally we used clay to make special candle holders called divas.
