Year 3 Roman Day

In the morning the children dressed up as Celts from the Dobunni and Ordevices tribe.The hall was turned into a Celtic roundhouse, where the children sat and debated whether the two tribes should join forces to fight the common Roman enemy.

As part of their History topic, Year 3 spent the day learning about the Celtic and Roman way of life. They enjoyed dressing up as Celts and Romans and took part in several activities throughout the day, such as building bridges, and marching into ‘battle’.

The children loved going outside to re-enact a Celtic battle against the Romans. The children were all given Celtic shields and spears.
