Using the outdoor environment.
We looked at old buildings
Over the past term Year One have had many interesting lessons using the school grounds as a fantastic resource. In R.E. we went into the Wild Gardens to experience the diversity of nature at first hand. We collected as many natural things we could find and observed some living things. We worked together to make huge class murals.
In Geography we walked round the school grounds, photographing the different areas of the school. We used a map to identify physical and human features. We found out what each building was used for and observed the difference between old and new buildings.
