1st XI learn a lesson
After an extended drive to Foremarke, the 1st XI fell behind within a minute, the opposing centre-half wobbling past a flat-footed BG side. The response was immediate, with Henry Bletsoe and Charles Hurley taking the game to our hosts. Oliver Robinson scrambled the ball over the line to level the scores but then Foremarke scored a second to go into the break with a one goal advantage.
BG were severely tested in the second half, Foremarke’s pacey forwards causing many a problem. They did not, however, have it all their own way as BG threatened but could not find a final touch to the through balls played into our opponents’ circle. 3 further Foremarke goals put an end to BG hopes but Will Richards finished off a slick short-corner move at the end of the game to put his name on the scoresheet.
