James Waterfield at Wellington School
James Waterfield
My recent trip to Wellington School was a good opportunity for me to play a fine golf course and to experience the excellent facilities available there. The course was very well cut and it was also very tight. My practice round was not very good and to make matters worse, I was playing with my arch rival from previous encounters at Stowe. When I played my actual round, I didn’t play very well either and I was scuffing all my chip shots. When I finished my ‘bad’ round, I looked on the scoreboard and to my astonishment I was winning at that point. In the end, I won the putting competition, came second with my gross score and came third in the Stableford event.
