Year 2 visit Forest Hermitage

The Forest Hermitage
As part of their RE topic Year 2 children took a coach to Leamington to visit a Buddhist Monastery. The children were greeted by Manapo who lives in the monastery along with 4 other monks. The children brought with them various foods to give as an offering to the monks. Manapo showed the children the shrine room and told the story of the Buddha. The children asked many questions related to Buddhism and were taught how to meditate.
A fascinating trip and on their return the children recalled many rules that Buddhists live by.
Thank you to the parents who attended the trip.
