A Weekend Adventure Training in Wales

Group Photo
Having finished their Common Entrance, 12 6th formers packed their rucksacks and travelled to Wales under the care of ADTG, CJH and Janice. Despite heavy rain on the journey, the weather over the weekend was perfect and enabled the group to thoroughly enjoy themselves. After arriving, setting up camp and having an evening meal, the group set off for a bit of light scrambling in the shadow of Tryfan. Two people on the summit of Tryfan constantly watched over the 6th formers throughout the evening and it was not until the next day when the group climbed to the summit of the mountain that they met Adam and Eve – two stone pillars at the summit that have been formed naturally over the years. The ascent to the summit was a challenging walk yet all of the children made it with ease and in good spirits. Back at the campsite, the river provided a refreshing dip before an evening at Plas-y-Brenin where they listened to a lecture. The activity on Sunday was indoor climbing with many achieving some excellent climbs on some demanding walls.Photos of the weekend can be seen via the gallery tab on the home page.
