Joe Richardson Memorial Service

Many OBs will be saddened to learn of the death last Wednesday of Joe Richardson.  A revered and inspirational teacher, he will be very fondly remembered by many generations of Old Boys and staff.  He was selflessly devoted to the school for over three decades until his retirement in 1984.  Joe’s funeral will be at Margate Crematorium, Manston Road, Margate (CT9 4LY) at 1.20pm on Tuesday 10 June.  A memorial celebration has been arranged for 11:30am 20th September 2008 at Bilton Grange.

Joe’s great friend and colleague Robin Paul also died earlier this year after a short illness.  He too was highly valued and respected and was responsible, together with Joe, for the very high standards achieved in their respective fields.  Many will also have treasured memories of Robin’s time here during the 50’s and 60’s.
