Victorian Wash Day

The children dressed up as Victorian children and used the artefacts from the past to wash some clothes. We filled an old tin bath and washed our hands in the soapy water. We used a Dolly Tub, Dolly Peg and wash board to scrub the clothes clean. Next we used a mangle to remove the water before we hung them out to dry. It was a lot of hard work! We loved learning about Wash Day in the past, but we are glad we don’t have to do it every day!
