Highlight of the Hockey Season for the Under 11’s!
Sunday morning saw the Under 11 girls play in the Warwickshire County Hockey Tournament held at Kings High in Warwick. The girls had three games initially which they had to play one after the other as a team had pulled out of the competition at the last moment. This was very hard going as the games were fast and tough but our girls played out of their skins! I was so proud of them all and I can honestly report that I have never seen them play so well before. It was a joy to see them using their skills and agility so wonderfully and productively. Other teams were heard commenting on how good they were from the sidelines which gave them an added boost of confidence. We managed to get to the semi finals which ended in a draw of one all. We had to go to extra time and unfortunately The Croft scored just before the final whistle. Nevertheless, the girls should look back at a very successful tournament with great pride. As far as I am concerned it was the highlight of the season, well done all of you!
