2nd XI produce commanding performance
After supporting the 1st XI so enthusiastically, the 2nd XI took to the pitch looking to match or improve upon the result of their friends. The girls started enthusiastically and looked to dominate for long periods of the game. Late in the first half, they were able to force a succession of short corners and it was from one of these opportunities that Annabelle Phillips was able to strike the ball passed the keeper.
In the second half, they continued to play flowing hockey looking to get the ball out to the wings as much as possible and were unfortunate not increase their lead. Changes were made as everyone got the opportunity to play in the match. The final score was a pleasing 1-0 victory. Well done to you all.
