Staff vs Pupils Hockey Match

MGT arranged the light hearted event and to make the match a little more interesting staff were required to dress up as “school children”.

The game was played in two parts: 20 minutes against the 1st Boys and 20 minutes against the 1st Girls.

Representing the teaching staff:

Mr Tovey, Mr Hodge, Mr Lee, Mr Long, Mr Wheeler, Mr Ross, Mr Mawande, Mrs Murray, Mrs Bevin, Mr Morris, Mr Taylor, Mr Nicholson, Mr Searle and Mrs Gater.

The first half against the 1st Boys was held to a stalemate with neither team able to make a goal scoring break through. The second half verses the 1st Girls saw the teaching staff take a one goal lead through Mr Tovey. However continued pressure by the 1st Girls through consecutive short corners saw Hannah score the equaliser just before the final whistle.

The match ended 1-1.
