Colts B ease to victory

Sam Green-Armytage decided to take first use of the ball after winning the toss for BG. For the fist six overs only a few runs were scored by Milton Keynes due to some tight bowling by Tom Brindley and Guy Jamieson. The seventh over was a disaster for M/K with Harris Qureshi taking three wickets for no runs (yes a treble wicket maiden). To add to the bowling, Jack Murphy took two fine catches and Tom Jacques had a direct hit, run out (the second in two games).  Altogether, a very good fielding and bowling display, with Tom Brindley taking 3 wickets for 8 runs from 6 overs. M/K were finally dismissed in the 25th over for 53 runs.

Openers Tom Jacques and Andrew Carr made light work of the reply, knocking off the runs required without loss, scoring 11 and 21 runs respectively.

BG Colts B won by 10 wickets and Harris Qureshi was named man of the match for his bowling, taking 5 wickets from 3.2 overs for 2 runs.

A very good display by all.

P Bevin.
