A special performance to a very special audience

Macbeth
On Wednesday afternoon, the 6th Form cast of Macbeth gave one last final performance of the Bard’s “Scottish play” to the visitors and staff at Rugby Myton Hospice. Having performed in a 300 seat professional theatre, the Ravenscroft Hall and in a local junior school hall, it was quite a challenge to adapt the 35 minute performance to the intimate surroundings of the day centre lounge. And yet the children rose to the occasion magnificently, focusing on telling the story in a quieter and more emotional style. Director, Ian Morris, said he was very proud of each of the children who happily chatted to the visitors and staff after the performance and enjoyed a tour of the hospice’s facilities.
