5 pupils awarded Sports Scholarships to Rugby School
Bilton Grange Preparatory School is pleased to announce a record number of sports scholarships have been awarded to pupils at the School in Year 8.
Five sports scholarships have been awarded to children with talents across sporting disciplines, from athletics to Rugby and Cricket. The recipients of the awards, who will start at Rugby School in September 2010 are as follows – Amelia Swaby, Jack Rosser, Lukas Lakin, Rory Bennett and Kate Broad. The five Bilton Grange pupils were awarded the Scholarships following sports assessment at Rugby School.
All five have represented the Bilton Grange in a variety of sports at first team level, and both Amelia Swaby and Kate Broad have represented Warwickshire in Under 13 Hockey Exams for 13+ Sports Scholarships to other Senior Schools, Academic, Art, Music, Design Technology and All-Rounder Scholarships will take place over the coming months and will be announced in Spring 2010.
Peter Kirk, Headmaster of Bilton Grange Preparatory School commented; “This is an outstanding achievement by our pupils, who have shown talent across different sports at regional and national level throughout their time at Bilton Grange. On average, one or possibly two Sports Scholarships to Rugby School might be awarded, so to achieve five is quite extraordinary. Our congratulations to all five pupils, and we wish them well with all their endeavours in their final year before leaving us for Rugby School.”
