School life

The Pre-Prep department of Bilton Grange is housed in a welcoming, well-resourced Edwardian building on the school campus. Here the children spend their first four years of school life in a safe and caring environment.

We pride ourselves on being a lively, ‘family’, Christian community and the Pre-Prep is a friendly, open and happy place with a strong sense of purpose. Proudly wearing their first school uniform, the boys and girls join us at the age of four in Reception moving through Year 1 (ages 5 – 6), Year 2 (ages 6 – 7) and Year 3 (ages 7 – 8) after which they progress to Bilton.

Enjoying the benefits of small classes, averaging 14 children, high academic standards, exceptional facilities and spacious outdoor play areas, the children are encouraged from their earliest years to explore all the learning opportunities open to them here.  All our children sit down with their teachers to enjoy a healthy home cooked lunch.

Our supportive team of highly qualified and experienced staff ensures that every child receives individual attention and experiences a happy introduction to school life.

In bright colourful surroundings, children develop the essential skills in reading, writing and mathematics, extend their use of language and are also introduced to French and computer skills. With plenty of opportunity for imaginative play, creative and physical activities as well as investigation and experimentation, children thrive. Most of all, they enjoy coming to school as they develop the enthusiasm and confidence to face all that is new.
