School Life

'Many pupils gain awards from national governing bodies of art, DT, drama and music, whilst individuals and teams have won national and regional sporting honours in chess, cross-country, golf, hockey, polo and squash' - ISI

There is such a huge amount of opportunity at Bilton Grange, and the breadth of the curriculum ensures that all children enjoy their time at school. Academic success is paramount, as the results demonstrate, but with such opportunity on offer within the school day, children of different abilities and talents will find their role.

At Bilton Grange we feel there is a niche for everyone – whether acting on stage, running the lighting for a drama production, giving the team talk at half time in a Rugby tournament, or just relaxing and reading one of the 7,000 books in our Pugin Library.

School days are busy and fun. Encouraging a love of learning right from the start, and all through a pupil's time at the school is central to all that we do.

Families are able to benefit from the high quality of teaching and resources that encourages the best academic results, together with the highest standards of pastoral care of their children. A child’s social development, the learning of life skills and the enjoyment of the outdoors all contribute to a happy education, which cannot and should not just be measured on academic success.

The value of the education that goes on outside the classroom is significant at Bilton Grange, and we recognise that success outside the classroom brings huge benefits for a child’s development and confidence. Academic and non academic successes and achievements are regularly celebrated, from the Pre-Prep ‘Best effort cup’ to the highly prized ‘Bilton Cup’ awarded to the section in the Prep department with the most commendations for academic effort and success and good marks for notable acts of kindness and courtesy.
