For the first of Pre-Prep’s Christmas performances, the Hall was packed with excited families awaiting their first experience of one Mrs Watson’s magical nativity plays.
The little Roman soldier (played wonderfully by Harry Gorick) whose sole job was counting people, noticed that the townsfolk had stopped selling their wares and were moving through the town to a place lit up by shining stars. He was given a very strange feeling – as if doing the census wasn’t really that important anymore!
He was fascinated by noisy shepherds and flying angels and so he followed them all to a stable where kings brought gifts for a new born child!
He blew his trumpet as he was so impressed by the gathering’s ability to sing and dance. So were we, as Reception gave us a new version of the Nativity story. Well done to all. It was magical!
