Cub Scouts

13th October 2015

A number of new Cubs were invested at Monday’s pack meeting; followers of the Headmaster on Twitter will have seen reference (thanks to an eagle-eyed parent) to a Sunday Times article about the power of Scouting to build confidence and resilience. We talked about teamwork, played team games and the older Cubs thought about setting themselves a personal challenge to accomplish over the coming weeks and months, whilst the new Cubs learned about their investiture, the promise and the law which is the backbone of Scouting. We also handed out lots of badges earned already this term, which involved lots of left hand shaking!

The Cubs are looking forward to welcoming over a hundred Cubs from across the Rugby district on Saturday for a Science Day, followed by a ‘Harry Potter Sleepover’ together with our friends from Stretton Cubs… little do they know what we really have in store for them…
