Bloodhound Supersonic Car Ambassador, Henry Morshead, delivered an inspiring lecture to pupils, parents and staff on Thursday at the first ever Bilton Lecture.
Speaking to a room of about 80 members of the BG community, Henry told of the UK’s race to become the first team to break the 1000mph world land speed record. Discussing the many technical challenges the team had overcome, Henry even included a hint of jetfuel to recreate the race atmosphere!
The next Bilton Lecture will take place on Thursday 21st January 2016 when Sir Anthony Seldon, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buckingham, will be talking about mindfulness and mental wellbeing. Sir Anthony is a political historian and commentator on British political leadership as well as one of the country’s most high profile commentators on education and leadership. He is known for being a passionate exponent for the teaching of happiness/well-being and the development of the all-round child.
