Tree Dressing

10th December 2015

Tree Dressing for the weekend of the Christmas Ball has been a tradition which Miss Melia introduced before she went down-under; so it was really exciting that she was able to be here to bedeck the limes along the Drive and to wow the Juniors, 5ths and 6ths with her rendition of a Maori creation story about trees using fluorescent paint. Celebrating and dressing trees at the beginning of December is not just a BG phenomenon. The children love writing their words on the ribbons and then choosing a tree on which to tie them. Do read the messages if you are walking down the Drive and keep your eyes open for any other places where trees have been decorated not including the usual seasonal ones…
