Sin, dex, sin, dex ,sin, dex………..
Our Year 3 arrived at the Lunt Fort and were met by a Roman soldier demanding a password to ensure they were friendly. Fortunately someone knew ‘tomacula’ (or sausages) and the 28 new conscripts were taken in. They then spent the day learning about life as a Roman soldier in a fort, which included dressing up, swearing an oath to their emperor before learning and performing a variety of battle drills. Little did the new soldiers know that their teachers were actually fierce Celts. There was a short, but heated battle……the Celts were defeated and captured and now are living as slaves!
