Harvest at BG

11th October 2016

Early October marks Harvest at Bilton Grange, which was celebrated in two services led by Prep and Pre-prep children. On Sunday, members of the middle school led “The Wonder of Creation” in which we gave thanks for the fruits of creation, and we were delighted to welcome Dr Richard Maloney, headmaster of Uppingham School, and his family. On Monday, we welcomed the former chaplain at St Cross Hospital, Rev’d Hugh Priestner, ably assisted by ‘Timmy’, to lead the pre-prep harvest service, which featured wonderful contributions, both spoken and sung, by the young members of pre-prep.

Generous harvest gifts and donations in the collection plate (the Sunday collection totalled a magnificent £378- many thanks to all who contributed) will enable us to send some much needed contributions and support to both the Hoskyn Centre and to Rugby Foodbank.
