What a fantastic way to finish the first half of term. On a glorious sunny day, the team enjoyed a morning of rugby training at Warwick school being taught by the Worcester Warriors. Over twenty schools were in attendance and a lot of core skills were developed and ‘new tricks’ learnt. We were most impressed with the way our boys approached the training and it was positively commented on by a number of the Warriors’ coaches. After lunch, a playing festival was hosted and we had four matches against other schools. Although results were not officially recorded we won all our games! We actually played some of our best rugby to date and received some wonderful comments from the referee about our play and approach to the game. We passed the ball well, ran in a number of tries, tackled, defended and competed for the ball superbly and it was rare we were undone in defence. James Haskell was there to congratulate the boys; Jimmy was awarded player of the festival and Alasdair most improved player for BG. It was, however, an excellent all-round team performance and the team spirit was in abundance. We were so very proud of them all, in everything they did. Well done, boys.
