Enquire

We welcome applications from international children. Many families choose to apply using an educational agency to help guide them through the process and we are happy to accept these applications. Please do get in touch to see if we already have a preferred agency operating in your region by emailing admissions@biltongrange.co.uk.

We accept applications throughout the year and into all year groups, space permitting, and if you are seeking a boarding place, we are also able to sponsor your child under the Child Student Visa route if required. We welcome applications from the September before the intended academic year of entry.

Visit

You are warmly invited to visit Bilton Grange in person if you are able to. Individual tours can be booked by emailing admissions@biltongrange.co.uk and Open Days may be booked by completing the form here. We of course understand that visits are not always possible from overseas and we are happy to meet children and their families via Teams. You can also explore the School further by video.

3

Register

Registering your child is the next step and we can let you know if there is space or if the year group is operating a waiting list. Early registration is always recommended. Once the registration form and (non-refundable) registration fee of £200 have been received, we will confirm receipt and it is on to the next stage of the process.

Rugby School Group has partnered with Flywire to make international payments safe and easy. It is now possible for our overseas families to pay from their home bank, and in their home currency, in nearly all territories offering competitive foreign exchange rates compared to traditional banks, This also allows  payment tracking through the transfer process.

4

Assess

Pupils looking to join in Year 3 or below will not have formal testing but are instead invited to join us for a Discovery Day to mingle with our current classes.

Pupils seeking entry for Years 4 to 7 are invited to submit their UKiset reports together with recent school reports (in English translation where necessary). If UKiset reports are not available we will arrange for online assessments in a suite of reasoning tests. English language ability must be of a level that will enable your child to thrive in their new environment with a higher level required for pupils seeking Year 7 or Year 8 entry, where the minimum level is B1. If you are planning a visit to the UK, we also warmly invite your child to spend a day or stay overnight with us to get a real taste of life at Bilton Grange, free of charge.

Following the formal assessment process, your child may be invited to an interview with the Headmaster, which will often take place via Teams if you are not able to attend in person.

5

Offer

Successful candidates will receive a formal written offer of a place. If you choose to accept the place, it is secured following receipt of the Acceptance Form, Entrance Fee, and for those living outside the UK/EU, the Additional Deposit.

For pupils with existing immigration permission to live and study in the UK we will request evidence of this permission. Bilton Grange holds a Child Student Visa sponsorship licence and we are happy to sponsor boarding pupils for the duration of their stay at Bilton Grange. For those pupils requiring Child Student Visa sponsorship, we will issue you with a full Guidance Pack which will assist you through the process of applying for a visa and guide you through the documentation we will need to see. The school will then raise a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) which you will need when applying for the visa.

Welcome

We are delighted to be able to welcome new families into the Bilton Grange community. Our Welcome Letter features links to our joining instructions and handbooks, as well as helpful information on uniform, equipment and boarding. We appreciate our international families in particular place a tremendous amount of trust in us by sending their children far from home to be looked after by the Bilton Grange family. We want you to feel ready and reassured before you even cross the threshold.
