International Women’s Day 2024
To mark International Women’s Day, all female pupils and members of staff were invited to join an ‘Inspire Inclusion’ event in the Library today. Ms Goodwin opened the event by reflecting on this being a day to champion the achievements of women and to raise awareness of the oppression that many women have faced throughout history. It is important to recognise the role men and boys can play here in support of IWD and the continued fight for equity and inclusion. There was a wonderful buzz in the library as so many Biltonian women came together and, fuelled by hot chocolate and cakes, it was lovely to see older girls coming alongside the younger years to reflect, to laugh and to look towards a more equitable future
