The First Step in the Adventure of Life
Bilton Grange is a special place: a place where childhood is protected and futures are prepared. A place which celebrates its heritage and embraces innovation. A place with strong moral values and a human heart. A place where friendships are born and memories are made.
Most importantly, Bilton Grange is a place where children want to be because they stay younger longer and become the hero of their own story. Here they have the time, space and opportunity to be themselves, to develop morally and intellectually and to establish their individual character. Here they take their first steps in the adventure of life.
The glorious environment is a big factor in our success. With over 90 acres of woodland and open space, as well as unique Pugin architecture, Biltonians are inspired by their surroundings to become enthusiastic, imaginative and inquisitive learners.
Life after Bilton Grange
Our strong relationship with Rugby School provides broader educational philosophy, ambition and resource and it is an onward journey for many of our pupils but it is just one pathway; we have a strong record of preparing Biltonians for the UK’s other top senior schools too.
High academic standards are the bedrock of a Bilton Grange education but they are not measured only in scholarship success; more important is the academic improvement of every child, whatever their level. We focus upon having a positive approach to learning, on developing the confidence to ask questions and reason ideas, on the ability to work collaboratively as well as individually, and on the skill of adaptability which is so important for a successful life in the mid-21st Century.
Life at Bilton Grange
In a fast-moving and, at times, remote world, we are well aware of the need to feel connected. Consequently, whether boarding or day, the pupils and their families will find Bilton Grange a welcoming and fun community. Parents, grandparents and guardians will experience convivial hospitality at numerous school events: matches, performances and other social functions. But it is not just those attending live who see their children in action – with recent advancements in technology we have a number of events streamed to a digital audience so that all family members can feel included wherever they are in the world. Inclusivity is very important to us.
A website cannot replace a real visit but I sincerely hope this virtual glimpse into Bilton Grange gives you a sense of our vibrancy and collective ambition which in turn encourages you to come and see us in person. You will not be disappointed for here you will see that our distinguishing approach is committed to the development of character – character that is informed by spirituality, shaped by practice and celebrated by community. Biltonian character flows naturally and never has to be forced, resulting in kind, compassionate and accomplished young people who are willing to embrace all aspects of modern life.
I very much look forward to meeting you and your children at Bilton Grange.
