Brownies and Guides | 2nd Dunchurch Brownie pack runs every Monday in term time 6-7.30 and is open to girls aged 7 – 10. Girls aged 10 and above may continue or start their Guiding journey and join the 2nd Dunchurch Guides which runs from 6.15-7.30, also here at Bilton Grange. Cubs | For all those continuing and who wish to join Cubs (in Juniors, 3rd and 4th Form). Cost: £30 per term |
Film Appreciation | Watch and discuss a range of interesting films. |
Golf | Driving range practice at BG, with coaching provided by PGA Golfer Shay Brennan and his GC2 Performance Simulator, with over 100 of the world’s best courses and performance metrics. £100 per term. |
Hockey at Bilton Grange | Hockey skills with Mr Hodge on the Ken Waydelin Pitch. Open to Upper School only. |
Maths Scholars | Mathematical calisthenics for Scholarship candidates. |
Scouts | Scouts is the next stage on in the great adventure from Cub Scouts, developing teamwork, pioneering and outdoor skills each week as well has having camping and expedition opportunities here and abroad, earning badges and aiming for the Chief Scout’s Gold Award. Potential new members who have not ‘moved on’ from our own Cub Pack must speak to the Group Scout Leader (the Headmaster) before they can join. There is a termly charge of £30 for this Option, part of which is spent on resources and part of which goes in subscriptions to the Scout Association. Cost: £30 per term |
Warwickshire Choristers | The Rugby branch of Warwickshire Choristers rehearses at Bilton Grange under the direction of Mark Penrose, Director of Performing Arts, on Monday evenings from 6 – 7pm in the Music Department. Warwickshire County Boys Choir is an accomplished group, which brings together enthusiastic boy singers between the ages of c. 8 to 14 to perform and experience a wide range of repertoire, demonstrating the unique vocal quality of boys’ voices. The Choir was launched in March 2008 at a concert supported by the renowned boys’ choir of New College Oxford. A huge number of boys rehearse each week across the county, coming together for major events and singing days, and singing at prestigious venues. Warwickshire Choristers encourages nearly 150 boys and young men to sing to a very high standard. Our open access policy allows all boys and young men to take part without a formal audition process. Bilton Grange is proud to be associated with the excellent work of the Warwickshire Choristers. Drama Rehearsal (before half term) | Upper School production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Rehearsal for lead roles. |
Sports High Fliers | To prepare pupils that are applying for sports scholarships to senior schools. |

Yoga & Creative Mindfulness | An introduction to Hatha yoga and mindfulness through games, music and storytelling. A creative element will also allow pupils to explore and support their emotions through art and writing. |

Air Rifle Shooting | Indoor air rifle shooting (equipment provided). |
Badminton | Professional Badminton coaching from Matt Hanson. Cost: £40 per term |
Ballet | Lessons are paid in advance for the term. Pupils are prepared for grade exams; please note that this can take a number of terms to reach the required standard and so commitment is vital. Fencers’ Prep | A chance for Fencers to complete prep. |
Fencing | The school club will initially focus on Epee, which is a thrusting weapon meaning points are scored with the tip of the weapon only. In Epee, the whole body is the target, so a great deal of thought and timing has to go into both attack and defence, with footwork being key. Robert Parsons is a qualified coach through British Fencing. Cost: £50 per term 5 – 6pm |
French Scholars | Extra French support for those preparing for Academic Scholarship. |
Music High-Fliers / General Practice | Extension activities for Music High-Fliers by invitation, with an opportunity for other interested pupils to join in or practise. |
Science Scholars | Scientific stretch and challenge for Scholarship candidates. |

Ancient Greek | Learn a completely new alphabet and language by studying Ancient Greek. |
Art & Sculpture | A chance for the children to explore their creativity in Art. They can use the time to develop personal/individual ideas (adopting a more independent and free approach) and/or work with greater guidance from staff if needed. |

Creative Writing | Pupils will gain experience writing short stories, learning about character development, plot and pace, among other techniques. |
